Personality: Timid at first, people see her as a weirdo. Her personality is now shown to be stubborn and impulsive type of girl. She has a tendency to talk quite fast that some don’t understand what she was saying. She is academically smart that she rivals with Hannah in going to the top, the competition is more like a war between them on who is the highest of the two but they still remained friends.
How she got into the Academy: She may be a little “wimp” girl at first, but she is one speedy little meister. Ying was bullied in China when she was young, until she get the chance to stand up for herself. However, she was expelled in school along with the bullies to make it equal. Her parents decided to move in Malaysia with her grandmother, and studies very hard. Her hidden talents lies on Game Mastering and able to drive a vehicle at ease for a very young age. Of course, she is still young and she have to grow up in order to drive. Ying is able to survive the disaster in the school but witnessed the terrible destruction of it, which caused many damages and deaths. She declined of enrolling at San Fransokyo Academy because she wouldn't leave her grandmother behind from the destruction of the earthquake has given and she can't live alone, until she was encouraged.
