Personality: Due to expectactions of her mother, Amu grew up believing that only the strong survive and the weak can't get anywhere in life. If you wanted to be the best you had to knock down the competition and not care about who you hurt or making friends. She comes off as tough and stand-off towards others. Despite her beliefs she is willing to stand up to bullies if only to prove that no one can push her around or tell her what to do. Beneath the rough edges, Amu wants to be a normal girl and a friend to talk to. Many students around the school have seen her as the cool and mysterious rebel who prefers to be left alone.
History: Amu was born into a pretty simple life. Her father was a normal working man, while her mother was always climbing the later in her company's business. Amu's mother had high expectations for her daughter, Amu was meant to be best at everything she did. Her mother believed that having friends or a boyfriend were distractions to Amu's success. Amu's grades excelled in every class and her mother's way of thinking changed her attitude. However, there was one thing her mother couldn't take away from her. The love of ballet. Amu loved going to see ballet recitals with her father and fell in love with the idea of dancing. Knowing her mother would never allow her to do so, she became distraught. Amu's father promised to keep it a secret and took her to dance school whenever her mother was away on business trips.
At 17, Amu gained entrance to S.A Academy due to her high grades, her mother was proud and encouarged her daughter to attend. Amu decided to go but not to follow her mother's words
