Yosuke hadn't exactly felt as confident as he did now that he was in the school. He liked it sure, much better than his old school, there weren't many people who knew about Junes or the history behind it. But that didn't stop him from being picked on every now and then.
At the moment he had his arms filled of homework and other tasks to do. He was waiting for his order from the nice lady behind the counter when someone rudely bumped into him, sending him and his papers onto the ground.
"Great." Yosuke sighed. "Figures."
He never had the greatest luck anyways. Yosuke slowly got the ground and started to pick up the scattered papers

Yu went to go pick up his daily sweets at the Lucky Cat Cafe and he needed his sugar for the project he was working on. Yu saw the person rudely bumped into the boy and he walked over to the person as he said with an icy tone, "Next time you do that, I'll be sure to make a phone call to what you've been doing slacking off on your current job." The person ran in terror as Yu muttered annoyed, "Such a pain..." He went over to Yosuke and picked up and handed the fallen papers to him as he said, "Here. These papers seem important you."

Yosuke looked up in surprise that someone was willing to help him, the other costumers were too busy. "Thanks." he said quickly, taking the papers back. "yeah, they kind of are. Considering that they are notes for assignments."

Yu said as he walked to his table, "Come over here. I may require your help and maybe I can help you." Yu needed help with his video game program and needed new players. Sunset wasn't enough and he needed from a perspective someone from his age. Yu explained as he sat down, "You see I need someone to help me with my project and if you help me I'll grant one request from you."

Wow that was fast. Already someone was asking him for help or rather demanding it. "You are granting me a favor?" his eyebrows rose, "Uh, that kind of sounds like a threat if I don't agree to help you bro." His smile was joking of course.
"What kind of project?" He had heard rumors about two boys making video games. It was a lie to say that Yosuke wasn't interested in the idea. "I don't mind helping you but your name would be nice."

Yu introduced himself, "I'm Yu Draco. CEO of Inferno Draco Corp. and its nice to meet you." Yu took out a pair of glasses and said as he handed them to Yosuke and Yu put them on, "Put these on and you will see what project I'm working on."

"Yosuke Hanamura." the boy said with a smile. The project didn't seem too hard, after all in a way, it was to repay Yu for the kindness that he had shown to him today. "I just put these on?" he asked looking at the glasses.
"Seems really simple."

Yu snorted laughter and said with a smirk, "Trust me its different when you put them on..." Yu was already in his game world and waiting for Yosuke to join him. Yu was in his samurai clothing while wearing the glasses along with his card pack that would hold a katana. He couldn't wait to see this boy's reaction to this.

Yosuke slowly put on the glasses, wondering just what he was getting himself into. He ended up landing down in the game world not expecting anything at all, "Whoa," he said looking around, this was amazing.
He knew that there were students doing video game projects, he just didn't think that they would be this detailed. Wait a minute if he was here. Then where was here at the cafe.
"Hold on, what about us at the cafe?" he asked worried "We aren't like unconscious or anything right?"

Yu explained with a smirk, "We're still in the cafe and no we're not unconscious. What we are using is our minds and when both players put the glasses on they enter in HoloBattle. In the outside world, a holosphere is projecting from our glasses and showing us in Arcadia, the gaming world, where you have twelve cards." Yu pulled out the cards as he continued to explain, "There are four cards in each set, Creature, Magic, Trap, and Field. Creatures can help you be your alley, Magic can help you or your creature, Traps to destroy your opponent's alley or life points, lastly Field, to give you or your alley the home plate advantage."
Yu pulled out The Fool's card and crushed it. As beams of energy surrounded him and a figure emerging from Yu's shadow as Yu said with a smirk, "This is The Fool and believe me he isn't one." Yu said with a grin, "Now Yosuke its your turn."

Yosuke frowned, the game sounded familiar almost like something he had seen on tv. Maybe he was imaging it though. It was a holographic card battle, it didn't seem so hard. Why did Yu need people to test it?
He really didn't want to know instead, he wanted to try out the game. He looked at the deck and closed his eyes, hoping that at least that he would get a monster card. The brown haired boy drew a card. He knew tarrot cards pretty well, so when he got the magician he wasn't too suprised.
"Magician." he crushed the card in his hand, surprised to find the monster behind him.

Yu smirked and said with interest, "The Magician...interesting choice. Let's see if can do better..." Yu pulled out a card and said as he crushed the card, "The Grim Reaper Katana!" The katana had a blazing dark purple flame around the sword as The Fool rid of his original sword and grabbed the sword as a red aura surrounded it as Yu explained, "That's how you use a magic card...red aura means powered up...blue aura means its powered down." Yu swung his arm down as The Fool swung its new sword at the Magician and Yu looked at the screen and saw that Yosuke's sync was at 40% and his health at 70%. Yu said with a smirk, "Your turn..."
The reason why he was testing this out was to see if the human emotions could power up Sync and if it was true well...he had something in mind to make some new changes.

He was already losing?! No! he refused to do that. He had only just started. His brown eyes considered his options before taking a deep breath. Don't get nervous, or anxious. That's what would make him more nervous and freak out.
Yosuke placed his hands at his sides, and thought a bit harder. If he drew a bad card then it would be his own fault. Slowly he pulled the next card up. His heart's thumping started to decrease. Maybe things would be okay. "Justice's golden stars!"
The card crushed and a pair of almost throwing stars appeared in his monster's hands. They glowed an intense shade of blue. That meant powered down but he wasn't going down that easily. "Go!" The magician attacked striking the Fool in a blur of strikes.

Yu groaned as he saw the Grim Reaper Katana destroyed and looked at his own Sync at 30% and his health at 80.2%. Yu said with a smirk, "Not bad...I guess you knew your card would destroy my Grim Reaper Katana. When you drew that card, if my Fool didn't have that sword you would lower my alley's attack points...however I got a few tricks of my own..." Yu drew another card and grinned as he crushed the card and said, "Underworld Graveyard!"
The once beautiful flower field now crumbled as tombstones came and popped out of the ground. A vampirc castle slowly emerged as little ghost whips were moving in and out the castles. The Fool brought out the original sword as The Fool was glowing red and Yu explained, "Since it was a field card I can't move anymore. Now its your turn."

"Actually no." Yosuke said. "I've never played the game so...I think i just had faith that I could do something right in the game and not look like a complete loser ." He gave a small uneasy laugh.
And then the field changed, it looked like something out of a horror film. A field card, that was strange. What if he got one too? He placed his hand on the deck before drawing.
"Protective Wind Wall." A magic card. This looked good, considering that his monster now had a protective tornado surrounding him.
