Astrid carried her tray of food, thankful that almost all of it looked edible. She had to keep reminding herself that this wasn't high school and part of her tuition money went into having good food. This was one of the little moments in life she thanked god for. She took a sip out of her water bottle, still exhausted from working out as she scoped out the cafeteria for a spot to sit. She'd kept to herself most of the time she'd been here, but she figured now would be a good time to come out of her shell. After all, she didn't want to rely on her sister for friends. No, that certainly wouldn't work out well so she looked for a familiar face and found it in a girl with firery red hair she'd seen when she went to check out the criminal justice room. The girl had been talking to the professor just before she introduced herself and left halfway through their conversation. She sat down and tried to smile despite her resting bitch face. "Hey, anyone sitting here?" she asked.

Merida looked like she just came back from the gym. Her hair was pulled into a ponytail, her jacket revealing her sport bra a bit, and her cheeks flushed. She looked up, her mouth full of food. She took a swig of her coke, swallowing the meal down. "Yes. Im afraid the wisps have taken up all the seats," she said sarcastically. Her accent was thick, and it was clear that she was from Scotland. She reached over and threw her bow and quill into a chair beside her, then gestured for Astrid to sit down. "Go on, lass."

Astrid took her seriously for the slightest second and was hesitant to set her tray down, but did so anyway before taking her seat. The blonde was a sucker for accents. She'd always joked with her sister that she'd never date anyone from America because their voice wouldn't be exotic enough. So far, she'd been true to her word considering she'd never had any serious relationships. "Thanks," she said flatly, poking her jello with her fork. "so, were you born in Scotland or are you parents just from there?" she asked out of genuine curiosity. "Because I totally dig your voice."
