Hello, students! I am Hitomi Shinonome, your French Professor. Let me clarify the things in this Classroom, shall we now?
This is how the Classroom will look like, once you enter inside this room.
You each will get a working book, that says "Vocabulary Tests and Word Search". For Vocabulary, you will write them in your French Notebook, to take notes and write the English definition for it. As you see in the working book, we will have Vocabulary Tests in the book. There will be English words and sentences, so you'll have to translate them to French. With the ones already French, you translate them to English. I'm very strict of cheating, so I shall better not catch you cheating, looking over someone else's work. I'll give you a 0 quickly, and you may not retake the test. Understand? And the Word Searches are for fun, but it'll help you learn more French. Once you found the word, since it's all English, you call me by saying, for example; "Ms. Shinonome! I found the English word for Hello.", then I'll have you stand up and say the word in French. That shouldn't be too hard, now. For the Wordsearch, you can work with a group, which I'll assign for you. 4 students per group.
As you should all know, we will be learning the English Vocabulary translating them to French, and from French to English. We will learn the Basics; "Hello, Goodby, Thank you, etc.", we will learn how to say the Clothes in French, the food, the colors, and many other words. To start each class day, I will have 6 English words or sentences on the board, and I'll pick 6 of you to come up and write the French translation.
Otherwise, I'm excited to be teaching you all. I do give Extra Credit, so make sure you see me after school or during lunch. I hope to see you in my Classes! ~ Hitomi Shinonome
