Personality: Boboiboy is a kind and friendly student. He is shown to be shy and has a tendency to be forgetful at times. His academic smarts relies on the heavenly bodies such as stars, and can speak Malay, English, and Japanese. He also knows that people have goodness inside of them and he wants to befriend everyone good or bad. Don’t get fooled by his happiness because he has emotions that he bottled up to, such as sadness. Ever since the incident happened in his school, he was traumatised by the catastrophe that cost one life but he has a thought that his parents weren’t able to survive the disaster. This is bad for him because the more emotions he bottled up, the more grief and sorrow will be shown to him even though he hides it like nothing bad happened. He suffers a bad case of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and he has a history about it too when he was a child. This is probably the reason why he doesn't like balloons explode in front of his face, or rabid dogs chasing after him. However, he tried not to show it in front of his friends (Except Fang, who knew about his condition) as it would cause trouble for keeping a secret.

How he got into the Academy: Prior to his arrival, Boboiboy has fascination about the stars in the sky that his room has planets and stars along with a telescope. He read books about the planets in the solar system, the stars, the galaxies, and beyond. As the oldest science in the history, he wanted to know more and more about the celestial bodies as a child whenever he sees stars in the sky and he wanted to see one too. However, it changed after a certain event when the one he is close to was gone. He was given a little robot named Ochobot for company whenever his parents went to work, he is often left alone in his home and need a friend. It was weird at first, but it went well that they became close friends. That is when his school got struck in an earthquake and almost killed everyone inside it, including Boboiboy who is in danger of death. Ochobot sacrificed himself to save him and got destroyed, leaving Boboiboy traumatised from the incident. Determined to fix him, Boboiboy sacrificed his dreams in becoming an Astronomer in order to fix Ochobot again. He desired to seek a boy named Hiro Hamada because of his reputation as a Robotics Prodigy of San Fransokyo and he might be the one who might help Boboiboy.
